If you love to work outdoors and/or are interested in Community Gardens, read on!
The Community Garden is having a community work session Saturday, May 14 from 10 am – noon for a workday at ‘the Hope Property’ on South Windsor Street near the Journey Church. We will stake out plots, put up signs, set-up water, clean up the seating area and shrubbery around it and much more. If you have registered for a plot, you can also start planting!
Bring workgloves and any garden tools you have. In addition to the traditional rakes, trowels and hoes, helpful items to bring include: hammer/mallets (for banging in stakes and signs, measuring tape (ideally 100 ft), buckets, saws or pruning tools.
Liz Edsell is in charge of this effort. Community workdays are planned for spring and summer Saturdays this summer. We welcome your involvement!
