Membership

The South Royalton Market would not exist without member support.  Membership is an investment that ensures the long-term health and sustainability of the Market. We invite–and appreciate–your support.

Membership is a one-time, lifetime fee that helps to build the Market’s equity. It applies to two adult members in a household and is refundable if you cancel your membership at any time.

Members Benefits

  • discounts on all purchases made on Member Appreciation Day (MAD) and with the Wild Card
  • the option of being a Superworker volunteer (in return for 2 hours/week of work, receives a 10% discount on all purchases)
  • discounts on caselot orders
  • opportunity to run for the Board of Directors
  • right to vote in the Board elections, held at Annual Meeting in February

Membership Options

To make membership accessible to a wide range of the community, we offer two options.

Basic/Blue Membership: $50.00.  The current discount rate for Basic/Blue members is 5 percent.

Sustaining/Gold Membership: $200.00.  The current discount rate for Sustaining/Gold Members is 15 percent.

The Wild Card

The Wild Card is similar to Member Appreciation Day but with the added flexibility that you choose the day that the discount applies. Each member household receives one Wild Card: continuing members receive it with the Summer newsletter (mailed in late June); new members find it in their Member Welcome Packet. The Wild Card is valid for one year and starts in July.

Membership and Discounts: A Comparison

If you spend $50 twice a month and take advantage of all MAD and Wild Card discounts, you can save close to, or more than, the price of membership in the first year. And, of course, the savings continue for the coming  years!

Here’s how the math works.

Blue: 5% discount on $100 x 12 months = $60 in savings in the first year on a $50 lifetime investment

Gold: 15% discount on $100 x 12 months = $180 savings in the first year on a $200 lifetime investment
